Hi friends, today I want to share a fun and easy baking recipe. We are huge bakers! We really do find it fascinating how putting together some ingredients results into this delicious piece of art… well sometimes! It’s a fun hobby that we have been experimenting for a while now. We are huge fans of “Baking Wine Nights”, where we will look up a recipe and we’ll crack a bottle of wine and just practice our baking or cooking skills. By all means we are not experts but we pretend to be ;). For example when we started baking cakes, we didn’t want to bake one out of an easy 4 step box cake, don’t get me wrong I love baking those too but we wanted to learn how to make cakes from scratch and we did! We also wanted to learn how to decorate them like professionals do or at least try and so we did we are not experts but we do a pretty good job decorating cakes. We actually just made one for our baby sisters first birthday, which leads me to talk about the Pink Rice Krispies Treat recipe! We decided to bake fun desserts for her birthday, we know she won’t remember her first birthday but she will always have pictures so that’s the reason why we went all out on the decor. Rice Krispies treat were so easy to make and so delicious, to top it off we dipped each treat into a pink white chocolate!!
1 Package of Marshmallows
3 Tablespoons Butter
6 or 7 Cups of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Cereal
1 bag of White Chocolate (more colors available)
Seven easy steps for these delicious Pink Rice Krispies Treats:
1.Melt the butter in a regular size pot. I prefer a pot because it can get messy otherwise but its just preference.
2.Once the butter is melted. Add the Mashmallow over low heat to the melted butter and let the Marshmallow melt.
3.Once your Marshmallow is melted and has been mixed with the butter, turn off the heat and add the Rice Krispies Cereal. I honestly added more like 7 cups of the Rice Krispies Cereal but its up to you. Make sure you really mix everything together well!
4.Then spread the mixture into a baking pan.
5.To get the shape of the heart I recommend buying a cookie cutter, it can be any shape you desire but than you can press the cookie cutter into the mixture and its much more easy than cutting it with a knife.
6.In this recipe, Sherry and I did heart shape rice krispies treats. Melt the white chocolate in a little bowl and once thats melted just dip the corners or the whole treat it is up to you how much white chocolate you want your treats to have.
7.Let the white chocolate dry and than enjoy (Yum the best part!)
