Tips on Voluminous Curls

Hi loves I want to tell you all about my favorite curling tool that I use to do a fun voluminous easy hair do. I use my wand at least 2 times a week depends on what hair mood i’m feeling that day.  Even though I love using my straighter and curling devices I really do love my natural hair. It wasn’t always the case, growing up I had straight hair until I went through puberty, its so weird for me to think that I had straight hair for about half my life. It randomly started to turn curly, it first started from the back of my head and then it moved to the sides until I my whole head was full of curls, so weird right! After I had curly hair, I hated it I wanted to go back to my old straight hair, so I bought my first hair straighter and I straighten my hair way too much! I learn to love my hair after my mom would tell me how lucky I am to have such unique hair, people pay lots of money to have curly hair but now I have this beautiful big hair and I love it, it keeps hairdos interesting. My natural hair is curly, but frizzy and sometimes I like to help define my curls if I want to look like I tried for the day. If not its get all frizzy, which I also love the “big hair don’t care” hairstyle, but again it all depends on my mood. Even though I love using my wand and straightener for some fun hair dos I also make sure to take good care of my hair. I do have a good leave in conditioner that I use to help keep my hair healthy and strong. Make sure to take care of your beautiful hair, keep it healthy and always invest time on yourself, it’s the best investment! 🙂

Volume Hair

So the process of big voluminous hair is first I usually divide my hair into sections. I start from the very bottom of my scalp and divide the bottom to about 4 sections, so you get 4 curls out of it. And I repeat until I get to the top front of my scalp. If I want more voluminous  hair I’ll divide my hair into more sections and if I want less, than less sections. I usually use a clip to divide the sections or hair band. How I use my wand:  I first grab a piece of hair and wrap it going over the wand, not under. Once your hair is wrapped around the wand, I recommend to leave it for 10 seconds remember it depends on how thick your hair is, you don’t want to overheat it!

This type of hairstyle will mostly work on everyone but will not always looks exactly like the picture, remember its varies depending on the amount of hair your have and the type of texture.  But either way  give it a try, its so easy to do!Processed with VSCO with e2 preset

At the end, the trick to making your hair big and voluminous after curling it is using a brush or teasing comb. Carefully brush the curls into more wild big curls. You don’t want perfect curls you want wild bouncy curls. Im curious, tell me what is your favorite curling wand? Im looking for new recommendations on wands!
